Further research

After some researching, I learned that pop-up images have never been used on paper cups before, so I searched for tutorials of pop-up slider cards instead. I will be using the same mechanics shown in this tutorial on my paper cup:

http://on.aol.com/video/how-to-make-a-surprise-pop-up-slider-card-77391307

In the tutorial, one end of a paper is stuck onto another. In my design, I can stick one end of the food pop-up to the cup holder, so that the sliding movement of the cup holder will control when the food pops out.

For the drawing on the cup, I found some inspirations that I want to develop in my own drawings:

Some materials that I will need are:

- A few large size paper coffee cups with lid
- Sticky strip
- Sharpies
- Black gel ink pen
- Cardboard (for cup holder)
- Cardstock paper (for popup image)

Coffee cup design idea

Since I am now using my first idea, I thought of how my coffee cup can entertain customers more. The initial look will be similar to this:

It will have a person with their face covered  and the cup holder has the words "missing something?"

When the holder is slid down the cup reveals the person eating breakfast, while some pop-out words will appear saying "eat a healthy breakfast"

(example of how the pop-out words would look)

Ms. Anis suggested that instead of having words I can have a sad face on the cup holder, and when it slides down, there's a happy face with food popping out of its mouth. The catch is that it has to be made so the cup holder can be slid back up.

Ideas

1. My first idea is regarding the consumption of coffee before eating. Many people do not realise that it is bad to consume coffee before eating anything, as it can cause low blood sugar levels and indigestion. My idea is to use a coffee cup similar to the image below:
The words 'Missing something?' will be on the cup holder and when you slide the holder down it reveals a breakfast meal, encouraging people to eat before drinking their coffee.

2. My second idea is inspired by this ad:

By using a burger box, there will be two different images inside and outside the box. The one outside shows a picture of a normal-looking burger, while inside the box there is an image of a burger shaped like an obese stomach.
